During the night from Thursday to Friday, David, skipper of Mirage 29 RKN, had a deadly car accident. He leaves a wife and two sons ... and many friends. I never met "in real" David - professional obligations decided differently - he was nevertheless one of my best virtual friends. It's why I immediately accepted to participate to the team "Frozen Cool Band", which he lead.
David had real and rare values of sincerity, honesty and sharing. We exchanged a lot. He aimed to improve the game. He participated a lot to the French forum, making lots of useful suggestions; moaning sometimes too. But it was always with a good mind set and to provoke a reaction from the game conceptors.
David, we will miss you. Enormously. I don't know if "ever your hole in the water will be closed" (famous French song), but I judge by the reactions on the forum, your kindness has impressed more than one of us. We loved you, we regret you. Enormously.
In September, the second leg of the Frozen Race may be raced. My sails will be in mourning. But I promise you that I will race it at 200%. For the Captain's Honour.
All my sincerest condolences to your wife, your sons and all those who knew you and loved you.
Bye bye David.
