FYI, it seems that the version 15.0.1 of Firefox is a bit "nicer" to get the boat positions from the cache. I succeeded to get these positions "on demand". However it doesn't work well automatically.  I didn't activate HTTPFOX. Below, what I'm doing:

VRTool Initial Parameterization (to do once only)

1) On the boats panel make sure that the box "Auto update in" is unchecked and "Update friends too" is checked.

2) Select File >> Import from Firefox. Make sure that the following parameters are correctly set: a) The cache path contains the path to the temporary files (see step 3); b) VR boat data contains plugin-ServiceCaller*.php (and not plugin-ServiceCaller-*.php, which is the default value after installation); c) Provider is Virtual Regatta and d) "include winds" is unchecked and e) "include boat data" is checked.

Find the cache files

3) Open the Windows Explorer and enter %temp% in the address bar (which contains the current path or the path you want to reach).

4) Select all files and folders in this folder (using CTRL +A)  and delete them. This is not risky at all, as these files and folders are only temporary and can be safely deleted when not in use. You will surely get a message saying that some files and folders are in use. Then simply cancel.

5) Refresh the position from Firefox. This will create a plugtmp (or plugtmpx) sub folder in the temp folder. Select this sub folder. Then two possibilities: either you can find a file called  plugin-ServiceCaller*.php that is at least 40Kb and skip to step 6 or you cannot find it and you refresh again the position. Be careful, it is perfectly possible that the folder "empties on its own" ...  This is why the automatic update doesn't work well.

Import the cache files

6) In VRTool, Select File >> Import from Firefox. Then click on "Scan Firefox cache". The list above the buttons should be populated with the files found at step 5 ... if they didn't vanish! Otherwise, back to step 5....)

7) Finally click on "Import selected files" ... you get your position and those of your friends! (well if everything goes well !)

Amusez-vous bien ! Have fun!
